1. Information we collect

Bijio collects the information you provide directly, including account credentials handled through our AWS-backed sign-in system, profile data such as username, bio, and avatar, story content, character data, uploaded media, direct messages, and story comments or reactions.

We also store play and runtime data needed to keep your stories playable, such as save/session state, choices made, generated scene packets, planner state, and related gameplay metadata.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, host and display stories, save gameplay progress, power messaging and social features, generate AI-assisted content, moderate abuse, debug issues, and keep the service running.

3. AI and third-party processors

Bijio uses AWS-managed infrastructure for authentication, database, and storage services. Bijio also sends relevant story, character, and runtime context to a third-party model provider through xAI-backed generation endpoints when AI-assisted features are used.

We share data with these processors only as needed to provide the service. We do not currently collect payment card information in the app codebase.

4. Public and private content

Stories you publish, public profile information, comments, and some uploaded media can be visible to other users and visitors. Draft stories, direct messages, and play session data are intended to remain private according to the app's access controls.

Uploaded avatars, story covers, and sprite assets may be served through controlled public delivery URLs where the feature relies on public asset delivery.

5. Analytics and logs

Bijio emits lightweight in-product telemetry for landing-page interactions and may push those events to a `dataLayer` if one is present. We also keep operational logs and internal debug data needed to maintain and improve the service.

6. Retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and operational reasons. Some content may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion.

7. Your choices

You can update profile fields, control whether stories are public, and decide what you upload or publish. At this time, self-service account deletion is not fully implemented in the app UI, so account deletion or similar requests may require manual support.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service, but no system is completely secure. Keep your login credentials safe and avoid sharing sensitive information you do not want processed or stored.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Continued use of Bijio after an updated policy takes effect means you accept the revised policy.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or account-related requests, use the contact channel made available through Bijio or the project contact details shared with the service.
